The Concept Of "Remote Control Selling" And Your Biz Growth

Time is the most valuable resource in life...and in biz.
We have 24hrs in a day and can only achieve much in 24hrs by our individual effort.

That is where you and i have a problem.
It's a problem because it's impossible to personally talk with enough people to build your biz.

The truth i want you to know is that, it takes hundreds of people for your biz to truly stand out on it's own and grow out of control. It's a fatal lie to think that your biz can experience any phenomenal growth with 3... or 4... or 5...or 8...or whatever the magical number happens to be. No. That's a big lie your upline told you. Even, duplication is not the answer here.

Not everyone will duplicate you. In fact, it's very likely that most of them won't. You've to take responsibility for your growth. No body can build your biz for you... the only person you can control is yourself.

Because the majority of your people won't duplicate you, you need to bring in enough people to yourself to be able to get the ones who are going to build on their own. The more people you sponsor, the more you compound your growth.

The ultimate reason for sponsoring more (hundreds, even thousands) is to lead by example, so your people should duplicate you. Remember, this is all about becoming an expert. Someone people can follow. So, you must continually be in action yourself... bringing in large numbers of people.

For You To Develope And Attract Leaders, You Have to Become one yourself.

Note also that business is a game of numbers.
Don't also forget that there is little you can do within 24hrs considering the levels your prospects are in your "marketing timeline."

You therfore need a marketing system that will:

1. Sift and sort through your prospects for you so that you can only spend your valuable time with the best ones.
2. Pre-sell your prospects for you through educational marketing and continue the follow-up process with them.
3. Generate an immediate upfront retail profit or, monetize your activity.

Bringing in prospects constantly in hundreds and thousands is a painstakingly slow process and we simply don't have time for it. You therefore need to automate the whole process. The manual way of handling things is outdated and inefficient. The manual labour method would not allow you to prospect the amount of people you need to.

A good marketing system frees up your time and maximazes your efforts.

It Allows You To Accomplish More With Less.

This is the concept of leverage. You need to get the leverage through other people. That means making money off the efforts of others since there is little you can do depending only on yourself. 1 percent effort of 100 people is better than 100 percent of your own efforts.

It's exactly how "Remote Control Selling" works.

You want a system that allows you to sell to people in mass quantities. If this is done, it increases not just your personal results, but that of every one in your organization.
That's the big difference... it's how massive fortunes are made.

SO, WHAT IS REMOTE CONTROL SELLING?

Remote control selling means having a system that delivers messages automatically to your prospects that you would normally have to do yourself.
Since you don't have time to do all this yourself with every single person in your marketing timeline...

the same amount of time it takes you to personally do this with one prospect, a marketing system can do the same thing with 100 people, or 1000 people, or 20,000 people.

It requires no extra effort on your part. It delivers the same message over and over and over again to every person who gets added to the system. It never gets sick of repeating the same thing. And this message can be improved upon constantly.

But the whole process of delivering automatic sales messages has to start somewhere by getting people in the door. This is the first step in the qualification process where people will express their interest in what you have.

Getting people into your marketing funnel needs mass advertisement. It could be done online and offline. You can choose to specialize in some viz:

1. Blogs
2. Article submission(online and offline)
3. Linking strategies
4. Viral marketing
5. free search engine listings
6. Direct mail
7. CPA and CPM networks
8. Press releases
9. Ezine ads
10. Forums
11. Banner ads
12. Postcard marketing, etc.

Once they enter your funnel, your marketing system should then move them along the educational/sales process we discussed ealier. This process builds a relationship first.

And all this is possible with a simple tool called 'autoresponder'.
An autoresponder is a tool that delivers email messages to your prospects for you automatically.
It's your secretary on the net. Once a prospect is put into your autoresponder, you might have 5 different messages all set up and ready to go and the autoresponder will deliver them sequentially at whatever interval you decide.

It doesn't pose any limit to the amount of prospects it can deliver these messages to. You only have to work once and you have the messages sent to thousands of people over time. And these are messages that you wrote months or even years ago.

This is exactly what 'remote control selling' does...
without it, you can't enjoy what network marketing promises.

I've decided to include a free ebook written by a veteran in this industry. It's worth "Gold."

DIFFERENTIATION AS A KEY TO YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS

To attract global attention and searchlight, you must create your own path. By that I mean being unique and showing that you’re not like others…the crowd. You need to be outstanding and a non-conformist.

Truth is if you do what every other person is doing, you become a non issue…you’re not somebody to be discussed. Because there is plenty of competition, you’re just like a plaque…the consequence of monotony.

In business, as is with humans, what sets you apart and puts you atop is “Differentiation.”…uniqueness.

What Are You Known For?

Think about Bill Gates, Ray Kroc, Robert Allen, Tiger Woods etc. They have their uniqueness… what sets them apart.

Differentiation therefore is mandatory to the success of any business in any industry. But more so in network marketing industry as everyone is programmed to act the same, look the same and say the same things as everyone else.

The point I’m trying to make is that, rather than trying to be all things to all people, pick one group of people or one very specific need and focus in on it.
Focusing on a specific need and producing high quality content increases your “credibility ranking” and also forms a greater bond between you and your prospect. And credibility is the only real currency. It is everything. And it’s very difficult to influence anyone without it.

And all these is meant to attract prospects to your biz. You’ll begin to look at the types of Lead-generation content to deliver.
Here is a list of some different types of content you can create:
Ads/sales letters.
Your own physical newsletter or magazine
Websites
Emails
Articles
Interviews
Blogs
TV appearances/infomercials
Books
Physical seminars
Coaching
Videos
Audios
Special reports
Home study courses
Public speaking events
Teleseminars etc.
This is not an exhaustive list.

All these list generation content should target a specific niche market or sub-niches.
Note that you don’t have to do all the above…not even 90% of it. So don’t let these intimidate you. It’s just to give some ideas and show you the possibilities are endless with educational style marketing.

To differentiate yourself, you have to create a targeted, laser-focused message to teach something or solve a specific problem.
There are thousands of sub-niches within the Home-Based Business/Network Marketing industry:

1. TRAFIC GENERATION/ADVERTISING METHODS. Within this niche we have sub-niches like: Article Marketing, Press Releases, Search Engine Optimization, Magazine Advertising, Ezine Advertising, Newspaper Advertising, Forum Marketing, Blogging, Banner Ads, Viral Marketing, Online Classified, RSS, Traffic Exchanges etc
2. SOCIAL NETWORKING: We have: Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Linkedin, etc
3. SOCIAL BOOKMARKING: We have: Delicious, Digg, Furl, StumbleUpon etc
4. PAY-PER-CLICK: We have: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Amazon
5. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have: Goal setting, Mindset, Public Speaking, Time management, Personal Communication Skills, Leadership
6. SALES AND MARKETING: We have: One-to-one sales Skills, Market Research, Keyword Research, Phone Skills, Email Marketing, Copywriting
7. OTHERS: Testimonial gathering, Computer Skills, Tracking, Split Testing, Bonuses, Team Building, Choosing The Right Business, Contact management, Outsourcing, Monetization, Tax Help, backend products/Repeat customers etc

Again, don’t be intimidated that you have to learn all these to make money online. No.
That’s why I was emphasizing on differentiation/uniqueness. They are all different aspects of building a biz you can teach others about and position yourself as an expert. You don’t have to know anything about them now.

Being an ‘expert’ in this case means knowing slightly more about the topic than the customer. To gain this expertise, just buy a book on any of these topics and you’ll have all the content-material to use to start attracting information-starved prospects that are desperately looking for help.

You want to be known as the “Blogging guy.”
Or the “Email Marketing gal.”

The main thing here is differentiation/uniqueness, remember!
All the topics forms a hungry market to make you an expert.

The idea of trying to be focus and specific could post a form of argument in the minds of some people. It may seem like you’ll miss out on customers this way. It’s rather the opposite. You’ll miss out on a whole lot more by having your offer swallowed by a barrage of competing offers.

Since most people are afraid to narrow their niche like this, is exactly the reason why it works so well. There is far less competition for those who do.

If you’re in the health and nutrition industry, you could begin to think of common health issues like: stroke, common cold, kidney stones, osteoporosis, arthritis, insomnia, acne, high cholesterol, hernia, hepatitis A/B/C, allergies, heart attack, flu, fibromyalgia, dry skin, heart burn, diabetes, strep throat, injuries, asthma, carpal tunnel, cataracts, stress, chronic pain, cancer, etc.

This is to show that there is endless possibility.

If you’re not in the health and nutrition industry, all the same principles apply.
Specialize in an area and feed the prospects with what they want…lead them through.

Your first job as a marketer is to position yourself against competition.
And these can only be achieved by differentiating yourself.

The Missing Sale Piece In Your Biz

My life and biz experience has taught me that unless you have something of value to sell, you can't make money. Making money therefore is a direct response of what problem your offer can solve.

This is real business sense.

The issue of selling is often times hardly believed to be true in network marketing. The word 'Recruiting'/Referring takes the centre stage. For this reason, network marketers flaunt. And they fail.

Since they believe that the job of a network marketer is to recruit and not to sell, the pshychology and the hot buttons of a prospect are hardly considered. For one to buy anything, your offer must be appealing to the psychology of your prospects wants.

Here is the real thing:
In network marketing, you're not recruiting, you're selling. You're not in a referral biz, you're in a sales' biz. This is the separating factor between the 5% successful network marketers and the 95% unsuccessful ones.

Remember that sales occur when there is exchange of something for something. And that is exactly the case in network marketing.
So,until an effective sales and marketing techniques are put in place you can't make a killing in your network marketing effort.

SO WHAT ACTUALLY ARE YOU SELLING?

You can sell your comp plan and your product, but it still leaves the question open about "How" they're going to actually build their biz.

As a home based business person/network marketer, what you should really be selling is the way in which you do business. You're selling your ability.
What you do is to give them sure-fire and tested way to build not only your biz opporunity but any biz they choose to get involved with. It's what the prospects value much...which is knowledge. You need to show your prospect that you're knowledgeable about building a network marketing biz to give them reason to believe you.

The secret i want you to know is:

You're marketing Information, not products or opportunity.

This secret is fundamental in exploding your network marketing/business career.
The way to do this is to teach people how to build a biz before they actually join your biz. This method is called educational marketing. When put into use, it can easily increase your sales or results 100-1000% than someone using 'harassment' marketing techniques.

It's the key to attracting people to your marketing funnel because to attract people to you, you have to position yourself as a leader. And as a leader you have to show that you know what you're doing.
You're not just telling them that you know what you're doing, you're showing them how to do it.

Please note and it's very important to know that people are not actually looking for business opportunities. They are looking for a solution. They want information about how they can succeed in some kind of biz endeavor. Your duty therefore is to position yourself and provide these information to them. By giving them these business building advice, you're showing them how they can be successful. And that is the answer they are looking for.

You want to earn their respect and confidence? Then show them you're a consultant and not a sales rep.
A consultants' interest is the provision of solutions while a sales rep interest is how to sell.
And naturally, the man who teaches sells.
Remember, you want to get your prospects to sell themselves. So, you have to lead with a biz-building information first because people are afraid to becoming involved with an opportunity they're not sure it's going to work since money, time and effort are concern.

That's why it's hard to sell a biz opportunity to someone.

How Then Can You Remove This fear?

Since the number one cause of fear is Lack Of Knowledge, by educating them, you're eliminating this fear and you're making a friend out of them.

You See?

Every person in the world wants information. You make easy sale by providing advise and facts that can genuinely solve their problems. These information in turn sells your business indirectly.
The most successful and wealthiest people in any field( not just MLM) don't market their products or services. They market their knowledge...valuable information that is of great interest to their target audience...which will lead into what they actually sell.

Let's look at a practical case scenario to summarise all the explanation we've been going through:

I had the honor of being invited to speak in biz forum in one big church in Calabar, Cross River State Nigeria. I find the outcome of the biz talk very compelling and worth noting, since it happened before my eyes. That's why i have the confidence to say with authority that this educational marketing technique works.

Okay, let's contnue.

I got to the church premises 20 minutes behind time and met a guy on the platform(another resource person invited by the church) talking about one network biz opportunity. Actually it's a good opportunity and i'm an affiliate with the company. And as usual, it was the entire old crap of biz opportunity presentation, compensation plan etc. I could see and read the tiredness on the faces of the attendees visa-vis the kind of questions they were reeling out.

This said company is one of the top network marketing companies in the travel industry(http://tinyurl.com/cfpp7x) that offers travel discounts and information about countries embassies and hotels in the world and has made me money more than anyone else.

But that's not what people wants to hear first. They must have had bad experiences in similar programs like that introduced by a professional speaker who spoke well about the company and her products. And so, there is nothing different as far as they are concern.

It was my turn and i was called to the podium.
I went simple, no sales pitch, no company name, no products, no compensation plan, but simple explanation on how to build a biz and a responsive organisation of leaders. I broke the ice. I went further to settle one disturbing aspects in biz generally and in MLM in particular, which is the problem of having prospects/customers to your biz...how to get people begging to join your biz without you talking to them in the first place. I uncovered the process of Attraction marketing(educational marketing) rather than trying to convince someone who never indicated interest in your offer first...just exactly what and how to attract marmoth of prospects to yourself/your marketing funnel.

I caught their mode. There was visible silence and every person was seen scribbing something on a jotter. There was an excitement...life came back to the hall, they were refreshed.

Then something inevitable and unusual happened... every person was collecting my contact information and giving theirs to my secretary.
And this one question kept on coming:

Sir,"which network opportunity would you recommend to us and which one are you involved with?

You can quest the rest.

That's the power of knowledge/information marketing. It's natural that when you teach people a particular thing, when it comes to the time of making a purchase, those people will call you and ask for your professional advice and not the one who is giving out biz cards at shops and motor parks.

The great secret is in giving away free information.

Write articles, do interviews, publish books, speak at conferences, start Newsletters etc.
If you position yourself as an expert, biz flocks to you. Because whatever you endorse people buy. You don't have to sell your products/opp. Look at marketing gurus like Robert kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Robert Allen etc. People jump at anything they endorse.

But listen...the information you give your prospect has to be useful. It shouldn't be a sales pitch disguised as content.

Network Marketing Power Generator

Every business needs Power to survive.
And survival of a business means giving it the energy of sustainability. Like the human being who needs the proper feeding habit to power his survival/living, a business needs the enabling fuel to power its survival.

Business survival therefore is fundamental to every business owner. But you need to power it. You need to give it the power to survive.

How then can you power your business?

Central to powering your business is, "CUSTOMER."
Pretty simple huh?
The survival of a business is a direct responsibility of having customers...customers powers a business.

Every business needs sales to survive. The knowledge of having customers is most times what has eluded a lot of businesses...
Network marketing is not an exception. Network marketing is a business like any other business.

You need customers to join your MLM company and you also need customers to buy your products. Without customers(in this case downlines), your network cannot be powered...eh.
Having customers to your network business is very essential and should be the first thing to know before attempting to join any company. Other than this is the reason why 95% of mlmers are not successful.

  • The successful mlmer does not chase after customers, he ATTRACTS them
  • The successful mlmer doesn't talk about his company's products/business first
  • The successful mlmer is interested in solving customers problems
  • The successful mlmer teaches rather than selling...

Because, truth is that "Teaching sells."

The secret of having customers to your business has nothing to do with Duplication, Bombarding Your Friends And Family, The 3 Foot Rule...It has everything to do with with you learning MARKETING and how to effectively position yourself as a leader.

This may sound counter-intuitive(to the old school marketers). But it's very disgusting that in network marketing industry when it comes to selling, too much emphasis is put on the product, and far too little emphasis is put on the person doing the buying!

Here is the truth you should know: To grow your business to a collosal level of incomprehension, don't border yourself with your company's products and business opportunity...It doesn't count at all.

What counts is HOW TO SOLVE PEOPLES PROBLEMS. This is the blood of your business. You have heard that the money is in the list. Building a responsive list is a direct consequence of your content. This means responding to what people want...providing answers to peoples quests/problems.

This way you're set apart. You become that consultant your prospects were looking for.

And naturally, because of the confidence, you'll literally have prospects, lining up with two simple questions..."what are you doing and how do i join you in business."

It's more easier to focus on helping people buy things they want rather than trying to sell them stuff they don't. All good sales and marketing begins by putting the other person first.

According to Dale Carnegie, in his book "How To Win Friends And Influence People", "You can make more friends in two months by becoming more interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you."

Understanding Network Marketing

Network marketing in my understanding is a relationship business otherwise known as consumer distribution business in modern terms. It is commonly called referral business.

It is a business that you refer people and earn commissions(recurring/residual income).

You don't need to create your own product/service, no stock/inventory taking, no creation of website, no store and no follow-up by you etc.

You just plug into an established company and begin to enjoy their expertise.

The backbone of Network is in Metcalf's Law which states that, "A network's Economic Value= No. of users."

Eg: if there exists just one telephone, it really has no economic value. The economic value of a network goes up exponentially, not arithmetically.

Here is what Robert Kiyosaki said about network marketing:

"The richest people in the world look for, and build networks, everyone else looks for work."

The beauty of network marketing is that it has made available to the average individual, people like you and me the power of Metcalf's law...

but you must obey the law. If you follow the principle of the law, just joining a network marketing company is a good start, but just joining does not entitle you to harness the power.

It would be like you're buying a telephone but you're the only one with the telephone.

In order for you to harness the power, your job is to clone or duplicate someone just like you. The moment there are two of you, your economic value is squared. the value of your network has just gone from 0-4. If the 2 people you bring in also develop 2 more people each, the economic value of your network begins to look like a rocket taking off for the moon. Instead of working hard arithmetically, your economic value begins to grow exponentially.

That is the power and value of a networked business.

In my opinion, working hard to build a network makes more sense than working hard as an individual. Immagine the diffrence between how many rocks you could carry by yourself from point A to point B and how many rocks nine of you could carry from point A to point B. Even if you only earn 10% of what the other 8 are doing, it is 80% you earn with NO effort on your part.

In the long run, a successful networker has the potential to outearn most professional people such as doctors, lawyers, accountants and other rugged individuals.

The difference and the power are explained through Metcalf's law... a very important value of a network marketing business.

I truely believe that this is the greatest industry on the face of the planet for true, long-term residual income. There is nothing that even compares to network marketing.

The gurus will tell you that the real money is in "RESIDUAL INCOME."

... income that comes not just from your effort but from the efforts of other people while even sleeping.
